Bone Collective Studio

We are a client-focused, modern design practice based in Somerville, Massachusetts. Our work spans a range of scale & typology. We have projects in Los Angeles, Vermont, Maine, Alabama, St. Louis, & the Greater Boston Area. We believe that design can be playful and refuse to take ourselves too seriously.

We believe in the importance of expanding our design vocabulary by engaging with art, new places, and interesting stories.

— LOS ANGELES REPEAT CLIENTS
The kitchen Taryn designed us is functional & extraordinarily pretty. It looks deceptively simple but there are so many clever details that add up to a design this good. The space takes people’s breath away, but most importantly, it’s the perfect space for our family!

Camilla

Camila Obniski, Architectural Designer

Camila is an accomplished architect with a diverse background in architecture and urban design. She received her B. Arch from Universidade P. Mackenzie in São Paulo, Brazil, where she is licensed and worked at renowned design studios for 5 years. She furthered her education by obtaining an M.S. Arch with a focus on Urban Design theory from Washington State University. In Seattle, she contributed to multiple projects of various scales at ZGF Architects, including mixed-use residential & commercial buildings, interior workspaces, as well as urban design and development projects; through all stages of the design process.

Since 2016, Camila has been developing her own architectural projects in São Paulo, ranging from street-activating restaurants, bars, and a microbrewery to workspaces and residential new construction and renovations. She also engages in small-scale urban design work, prioritizing community development. Additionally, Camila serves as a visiting lecturer and associated researcher at Universidade P. Mackenzie. In Boston, she has been collaborating with BC Studio since 2022. She brings her extensive expertise, holistic design approach, and a keen interest in understanding space through the human experience and scale, whether in private or public settings.

Beyond her design work, her interests include enjoying the city with her husband and daughter through all the seasons; spending time outdoors whether hiking, sailing, or skiing; as well as experiencing art and architecture through travel. She's trying to get back into a consistent exercise routine and occasionally plays the flute.
